Championing Cuba’s Integration into the United States
The organization Anexionistas United is a nonprofit entity with political, educational, and civic purposes, dedicated to promoting analysis and public education internationally. Its ultimate objective is to achieve the annexation of Cuba to the United States, considering it the only guarantee to recover and sustainably develop the island, which they view as being held captive, and to ensure that there are no future opportunities for the resurgence of authoritarian leadership.
Additionally, the organization participates in active efforts, both within and outside of Cuba, against the current tyranny, all within a constitutional and legal framework, guided by God and the United States of America as fundamental principles of justice, freedom, and human dignity.

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS
Anexionistas United recently adopted its name as a result of the union of different groups and individuals who share the common idea of the need for military intervention, the enforcement of the Helms-Burton Act, and the promotion of a permanent protection status with the American Union until the achievement of annexation. This is intended to avoid repeating the unfortunate history of Cuban caudillismo, unchecked corruption, and to ensure all the guarantees provided by the federal laws of the American Union.
At the same time, we actively support anti-Castro demonstrations organized by other exile organizations, as well as other causes related to Cuba and existing tyrannies in the hemisphere.
Below we list the tasks and activities we carry out daily, as well as those that have been planned and executed by members of the organization—especially those carried out by the South Florida section under the leadership of our current president, Nayua Haddad.
- Daily engagement for education and debate on the topic of annexation across social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and most frequently at various times on TikTok. This has been ongoing for more than four years. These spaces include promoters, political commentators, and activists from the organization. Notable participants use the following aliases on social media: Anticomunista Siempre, Cuba es de Todos, Censurado, El Látigo, La Ética, La Mambisa2, Pluribus, Mr. Loforte, and Estado 51, among many other intermittent contributors and collaborators.
- From March 15 to 18, 2024, our current president Nayua Haddad, along with activist Niurka Préstamo, led a protest at the Archdiocese of the City of Miami, denouncing the situation of political prisoners in Cuba.During the demonstration, both activists sewed their mouths shut as a symbolic act of protest, demanding proof of life for Ramón Jesús Velázquez, a U.S. resident arrested in Cuba at the Shrine of Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre in Santiago de Cuba, as well as for opposition leader José Daniel Ferrer, who was in exile in Miami and whose whereabouts had been unknown for approximately three months at that time. The protest gained visibility on social media and local news, and was attended by numerous members of our organization, the general public, activists from various groups, and political candidates, some of whom spoke in support of the civic anti-Castro protest. The demonstration concluded on March 18 at 6:40 PM, when the requested information was obtained. (See annex with photos.)
- On March 31, 2024, at 9:47 AM, our organization was present in Coral Gables at a protest against the pro-Castro group “Puentes de Amor.” Organized by members of the exile community, the protest expressed disagreement with the organization’s actions, which activists accuse of maintaining ties and negotiations with the Cuban regime. Members of our organization, led by our current president Nayua Haddad, participated in this civic protest. (See annex with photos.)
- On the same day, March 31, but in Cuba, activists from the organization placed writings on walls calling for military intervention in Cuba. The regime sent members of the Ministry of the Interior to quickly remove them. (See annex with photos.)
- On April 15, 2024, our current president Nayua Haddad represented the group (then named Annexation Project) on the program “El Mañanero,” hosted by politician and influencer Alexander Otaola. During her appearance, she shared her political stance in favor of annexation, explaining the organization’s vision regarding its necessity, potential effects, and legal benefits of protection, as well as its impact on rapid and secure economic growth—ensuring a stable future without the possibility of the resurgence of authoritarian leadership due to federal oversight.
- On April 27, 2024, a group of our members, led by Nayua Haddad, participated in a demonstration in Hialeah, Florida, where members of the Cuban community and local residents expressed support for mayoral candidate Bryan Calvo and President Donald J. Trump.
- On May 6, 2024, our president Nayua Haddad and other members promoted a fundraising campaign through the sale of merchandise such as shirts, caps, and other items, involving the community in the organization’s initiatives.
- On July 16, 2024, we participated in a demonstration held in front of Homestead Air Reserve Base. During the protest, signs calling for military intervention in Cuba were displayed. The demonstration aimed to publicly express concern among sectors of the Cuban exile community and to draw international attention to the situation in Cuba.
- On June 19, 2024, a protest took place in front of a political billboard located at the intersection of NW 167th Street and 67th Avenue. The billboard compared Donald J. Trump with a Cuban dictator, which generated strong rejection among various groups and community members. The protest lasted from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, demanding the removal of the sign, which was considered offensive to the Cuban exile community and to then-candidate Donald J. Trump. The event was covered by local television, and members of our organization and others delivered public statements. A police detective was also present due to concerns that protesters might block the Palmetto Expressway.
- On June 27, 2024, our president Nayua Haddad again appeared on “El Mañanero,” where she explained the organization’s objectives and vision regarding military intervention and annexation, encouraging reflection within the Cuban community. She clarified the difference between intervention and invasion and promoted dialogue about Cuba’s future and the opportunity to share the freedoms enjoyed by the diaspora within the American system.
- On June 28, 2024, after several days of organizing, different groups mobilized through social media supported the annexation project financially, enabling the placement of a new billboard in response to the previous one. Donations were collected to install it at the same location. Entire families, including that of activist and member Alexis Collazo, traveled from Lee County to show support alongside other members and community participants.
- On July 27, 2024, during an event at Florida International University, a meeting of a group popularly known as “Puente de Leche” was taking place. Our president Nayua Haddad attended to protest the event and its promotion of Cuba’s supposedly effective free healthcare system. Our annexation message banner was displayed, reaffirming our anti-communist stance.
- From July 31 to August 6, 2024, led by our president Nayua Haddad, we participated in a peaceful mobilization in front of the United States Southern Command alongside Venezuelan citizens, drawing attention to the political situation following protests in Venezuela.
- On August 3, 2024, we supported a gathering at Bayfront Park organized by Venezuelans, displaying our annexation banner and calling for military intervention in Venezuela and Cuba, broadcasting the message live on social media.
- On September 14, 2025, we organized a vigil led by our president Nayua Haddad in front of the Versailles Restaurant in honor of activist Charlie Kirk. The event lasted until September 17 and included participation from other Cuban exile organizations.
- On November 18, 2025, during a visit to Lambarkiyine, Morocco, our president Nayua Haddad delivered a talk alongside an image of Che Guevara, explaining his historical role and what she described as his negative and violent influence in modern history.
- On December 10, 2025, our organization, led by Nayua Haddad and joined by members of other exile organizations, expressed opposition to the Cuban government and called for its end. The event also paid tribute to a sculpture created in Brickell by artist Julio Cesar, which had reportedly been censored, highlighting its political and historical significance in reflecting the reality in Cuba.
